Founded in 2000. Unit F aims to produce dynamics and stimulate new movements within the Austrian fashion scene by giving systematic impulses.
This happens on various levels and through several activities: by granting direct financial support, by offering specific advice concerning design-relevant questions in the realms of production, distribution and communication, by interdisciplinary exhibitions and presentations like the yearly festival for fashion & photography, by publishing design-related publications and last but not least by providing a digital fashion archive, which serves as a cultural mediator and visual communications system.
All of these activities are meant to either increase the internationalisation or the professionalism and to raise national and international awareness for Austrian fashion design.
